This comprehensive 4-Day course is required for individuals who will be supervising or conducting abatements, and preparing occupant protection plans or abatement reports. This course emphasizes current abatement and interim control techniques and attempts to clarify the complex EQB, EPA and HUD regulations. Understanding the OSHA requirements for employee monitoring, respirator selection and medical surveillance is also discussed. This course includes 8-Hours of hands-on activities which demonstrate dust control techniques, abatement and interim control techniques and proper cleaning methods. Each attendee must pass a 100-question examination to qualify for certification. After students complete the training course, they have to successfully pass an exam issued by EQB.
