Requirements: Register Engineering, Architect or Certified Industrial Hygienist and Complete Asbestos Supervisor Initial Course

Individuals that need to be able to develop contract documents such as the technical specification for asbestos abatement or want to be familiar with the process should take the project designer training course. This 3-Day course will make the attendee familiar with applicable regulations, cost estimation, developing a project scope and the elements of a specification. A design exercise conducted on the third day of the course reinforces some of these issues. Past attendees have included: consultants, abatement contractors, building and facility managers, architects, building engineers, safety and environmental managers and regulatory compliance officers. Each attendee must successfully complete a 100-question multiple-choice exam in order to receive certification.
