This course for private sector personnel covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as construction safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA general industry standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Topics Include: OSH Act, Safety and Health Management Systems, Personal Protective Equipment, Hazard Communication, and Electrical. A copy of 29 CFR 1910 is provided to the students. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA general industry safety and health 30-hour course completion card.This course serves as the pre-requisite for the OSHA 501 course.
